Historical application

The manual applies the dependent-arising formula to agricultural protection.

Ritual structure

1. Perform the basic Toh 519 rite.
2. Identify the agricultural danger addressed by the relevant passage.
3. Prepare the non-hazardous ritual medium specified by the text or, for historical demonstration, an inert substitute clearly labeled as such.
4. Recite the formula over the medium for the stated count.
5. Package/place/deploy it in the field or on the plants as the source directs.
6. Maintain the intention of protecting crops without causing unnecessary harm to animals.
7. Dedicate.

Historical caution: One hail-aversion prescription uses human ashes and mustard seed. Preserve that fact in scholarship, but use inert symbolic material for reenactment unless working under legitimate archaeological/ritual-study protocols.
