The shrine provides a physical Japanese locus connecting:

  • Onmyōdō;
  • Chintaku Reifushin;
  • Nara calendrical specialists;
  • household protection.
  • enshrined deity identification;
  • current amulets;
  • festival calendar;
  • house-protection petitions;
  • iconography;
  • relationship to Yoshikawa/Nara onmyōji memory.

The Chintaku Reifu tradition must now be represented in at least four historical layers:

Taishang Mifa Zhenzhai Lingfu: 72 talismans, diagram, monthly descent days, offerings, taboo foods.

Layer 2 — Medieval Japanese transmission

Layer 4 — 1912 grand syncretic compilation

Section titled “Layer 4 — 1912 grand syncretic compilation”

Daoist, Shintō, Buddhist, Confucian, Kōshin and Three-Corpse systems deliberately assembled into a large ritual sourcebook.

No later layer may be silently retrojected into the earlier one.
