The web-accessible transmitted list gives three grades:
- practice non-action;
- practice softness/yielding;
- practice “guarding the female.”
Middle

- practice yielding/deference.
The transmitted scheme links nine fulfilled practices with ascent toward immortality, six with longevity, and three with extension of life.
