Surviving architecture
Section titled “Surviving architecture”The text describes a square maṇḍala, five sound vessels, fumigation/incense, a compounded ritual substance, white clothing/food and washing with consecrated water.
Reconstructable safe sequence
Section titled “Reconstructable safe sequence”- Generate bodhicitta, truth statement and refuge.
- Mark a square ritual area.
- Place five clean, undamaged vases according to the text’s arrangement.
- Fill them with clean water.
- Offer safe incense.
- Prepare only non-toxic versions of any historical aromatic mixture.
- Recite the ye dharmā formula 108 times over the ritual medium where specified.
- Place white cloth and white foods in the maṇḍala as offerings.
- Consecrate the vase water through the recitation.
- Use the water for symbolic washing/sprinkling rather than as a substitute for medical care.
- Close with the aspiration that illness and affliction be pacified.
- Dedicate merit.
