Full short rite preserved by the text
Section titled “Full short rite preserved by the text”- Take a handful of clean water.
- Recite/incant the water with the dhāraṇī given in the scripture.
- Drink the incanted water.
- Go to sleep with deliberate intent to receive the revelation.
- The text states that Vajrapāṇi will reveal a dream.

Learning
Section titled “Learning”For textual practice, use the canonical translation and learn the dhāraṇī pronunciation from a competent Sanskrit/Tibetan liturgical source if desired. No elaborate deity-generation procedure should be added to this very short rite unless a separate sādhana explicitly supplies it.
