The offering section lists a ritual group including aromatic substances and plant/food offerings.

- a fragrant incense/substance written 箋 in the transmitted text (reading requires philological confirmation);
- chen / agarwood (沈);
- jiangzhen incense (降真);
- musk is mentioned in relation to the incense preparations;
- osmanthus (木樨);
- gardenia (梔子);
- plum blossom (梅花);
- pine (松);
- cypress (栢/柏);
- pure tea (淨茶);
- jujube/date decoction or drink (棗湯).
Technical instruction
Section titled “Technical instruction”The text says the principal aromatic materials should be burned separately rather than indiscriminately mixed together.
Japanese later transmission
Section titled “Japanese later transmission”A later Japanese practitioner-source preserving Chintaku Reifu liturgy adds a closely related offering set including:
- gardenia;
- osmanthus;
- pine;
- plum blossom;
- kaya;
- high-grade tea;
- sake;
- ceremonial sake;
- rice dumplings/cakes;
- washed rice;
- chestnuts;
- persimmons;
- candy/sweets.
This later list must remain marked as a Japanese development rather than silently inserted into the older Daozang text.
