Every future entry should use one of these labels:
- OPEN-TEXT: explicitly taught in an openly available scripture/liturgy and no initiation requirement found.
- OPEN-INSTITUTIONAL: taught publicly by a recognized temple/monastery.
- TRANSMISSION-RECOMMENDED: textual practice is open, but oral pronunciation/instruction is traditionally expected.
- EMPOWERMENT-REQUIRED: deity/self-generation or tantra practice requiring abhiṣeka/kanjō according to the lineage.
- ORDINATION/OFFICIANT: normally performed by trained clergy.
- HISTORICAL-RECONSTRUCTION: no secure living transmission located.
- HAZARDOUS-HISTORICAL: preserve academically, but do not physically reproduce dangerous components.
This key prevents “how to learn it” from becoming a vague footnote and will be applied retrospectively to older entries as the encyclopaedia grows.
